Haven’t heard anything this fresh and innovative for a long time. Prophecy comes across as some kind of mutated dubstep, recalling those halcyon days when people were still doing interesting things with the genre, replete with ghostly vocal snips over what sounds like a drum n bass beat with the turntable running out of juice. Then there’s Wardance with its cheeky jungle fills intercepting a deliriously funky repertoire. It’s out February 24th on Corporal F’s own label Tesselate. Digi only is the only downside. These tunes deserve a bit of wax!
